WHAT IS GRANULATED CORK?

It’s natural cork that’s been finely crushed into small granules. These light brown particles are porous, durable, and easy to work with. They mold easily to any space, making them much more flexible than traditional sheets or rolls.

WHAT’S THE DENSITY?

Density depends on grain size:

0.5 – 1.0 mm: 140–150 kg/m³
1 – 2 mm: 100–110 kg/m³
2 – 3 mm: 120–130 kg/m³
3 – 4 mm: 110–120 kg/m³
4 – 5 mm: 120–130 kg/m³

IS GRANULATED CORK ECO-FRIENDLY?

Yes, 100% natural and sustainable. Harvested from cork oak bark, which regenerates naturally, granulated cork decomposes on its own without harming the environment.

HOW IS IT MADE?

It’s crafted from the bark of the cork oak tree. Every 9–12 years, the bark is carefully harvested without cutting down the tree. Once dried and cleaned, it’s ground into fine granules.

DOES IT LOSE ANY QUALITIES WHEN CRUSHED?

No way. Granulated cork retains all the perks of natural cork — insulating against heat and noise, resisting moisture, and remaining adaptable.

Plus, thanks to its granulated form, it’s even easier to pour, shape, and use in tricky spots.

DOES IT REALLY INSULATE?

Absolutely. Cork naturally insulates by trapping air in millions of closed cells, making it perfect for both soundproofing and thermal insulation.
