WHERE CAN I USE 3D CORK TILES?

Each tile covers 0.05 m². You’ll need 21 tiles to cover a full square meter.

HOW SHOULD I PREP FOR INSTALLATION?

  1. Let the tiles settle. They should sit in the room for 72 hours before installation to adjust to the environment.
  2. Make sure the wall is ready. It should be smooth, dry, and even. Even small bumps can affect how the tiles sit.
  3. Keep it clean. Don’t try to stick tiles over dust, oil, leftover paint, or old wallpaper. Clean surfaces make all the difference.
  4. Plan before you glue. Decide on your tile layout ahead of time so there’s no guessing once the adhesive is on.

WHAT’S THE BEST WAY TO INSTALL THESE?

Use Wakol D-3540 cork adhesive. One 0.8 kg pack handles around 69 tiles, while a 2.5 kg tub is good for about 240 tiles. Roll the glue on both the wall and the back of the tile using a short-nap roller. Let it dry until clear — that’s when it’s ready. Then press firmly into place.

DO I REALLY NEED TO LET THE TILES ADJUST?

Yes, definitely. Giving the cork 72 hours to acclimate helps avoid issues like peeling, warping, or gapping.

WHAT IF MY WALL ISN’T PERFECTLY FLAT?

For best results, your wall should be flat, even, and clean. If it’s textured, there’s a risk the panels won’t stick well or might lift over time.

WILL THE SEAMS BETWEEN TILES SHOW?

They might be slightly visible, but the tile pattern helps hide them. Letting the tiles sit in the room beforehand reduces any chance of noticeable gaps later on.

IS CORK REALLY INSULATING?

Absolutely. Cork naturally reduces noise and helps maintain a comfy room temperature, thanks to its millions of tiny air pockets. It’s a smart, eco-friendly alternative to synthetic insulation.

WHAT’S THE RIGHT WAY TO CLEAN CORK?
