Cork is a natural material that responds to environmental conditions. For best results, allow the tiles to sit in the room where they’ll be installed for at least 72 hours. This helps them adjust to humidity and temperature and ensures a stable fit over time.

WHAT TOOLS DO I NEED TO INSTALL THEM?

  • Short-nap velour roller – to evenly apply adhesive.
  • Level – for perfect tile alignment.
  • Tape measure and pencil – to mark placement accurately.
  • Utility knife or craft blade – for trimming when necessary.
  • Soft cloth or sponge – to wipe away any glue spills.
  • Optional: protective gloves.

WHAT’S THE BEST WAY TO INSTALL THEM?

  1. Make sure your surface is smooth, clean, dry, and flat. A solid prep base will make a world of difference.
  2. Use a quality adhesive — we recommend Wakol D-3540. The 0.8 kg container covers around 170 tiles, while 2.5 kg is suitable for up to 600 pieces.
  3. Roll the glue onto the wall and tile backs. Once it turns clear, you're good to go.
  4. Firmly press each tile into place. Let them set for 24 hours to cure fully.

CAN I APPLY THEM TO UNEVEN SURFACES?

We advise against it. Cork tiles adhere best to smooth, flat surfaces. On rough or bumpy walls, they may not sit flush and gaps might be visible.

CAN I PLACE THEM OVER OLD WALLPAPER?

It’s not recommended. Old wallpaper can loosen over time and compromise the bond. For long-lasting results, strip the wallpaper and prep the wall properly before installation.

HOW MUCH AREA DOES ONE TILE COVER?

Each tile covers about 0.02 m². You’ll need roughly 50 tiles to cover one square meter of wall space.

WILL THE SEAMS BETWEEN PANELS BE VISIBLE?

Seams are generally barely noticeable. Letting the tiles acclimate before installation helps maintain tight, even spacing.

HOW DO I KEEP THEM CLEAN?

Maintenance is quick and easy. Just use a soft cloth or duster for regular cleaning. For messier spots, a gentle cork-safe cleaner works great.

Avoid harsh chemicals like bleach, chlorine, or acetone — they may damage the cork’s surface.

ARE THEY A GOOD FIT FOR HALLWAYS?
