WHAT DOES THE HONEYCOMB PATTERN REALLY LOOK LIKE?

WHY LET CORK PANELS SIT BEFORE MOUNTING?

Cork is a natural material, and like all things natural, it likes to adjust. Let it rest in the room for at least 72 hours before installing so it can sync with the humidity and temperature. Skipping this step? Not worth it. It could lead to warping or peeling.

WHAT DO I NEED FOR INSTALLATION?

  • Velour roller (short pile) – spreads glue evenly.
  • Spirit level – to keep things nice and straight.
  • Measuring tape + pencil – for marking up your layout.
  • Craft knife – for edge trimming when needed.
  • Damp cloth – wipe up any adhesive overflow.
  • Gloves (optional).

HOW SHOULD I INSTALL PANELS IN A LIVING ROOM?

  1. Prep your wall—clean, dry, smooth, no flaky paint or dust.
  2. Use strong adhesive—our go-to is Wakol D-3540. 0.8 kg covers ~170 tiles; 2.5 kg = ~600 tiles.
  3. Roll the glue onto both the wall and panel backs. Wait for it to go clear.
  4. Press the panels in place. Let them sit 24 hours to bond fully.

CAN I INSTALL ON UNEVEN SURFACES?

Not recommended. Bumpy walls can throw off the fit and show seams more. Keep it flat for best results.

HOW ABOUT STICKING PANELS TO WALLPAPER?

Bad idea. The wallpaper could peel—along with your new panels. Clean walls give the glue a much better grip.

HOW MUCH WALL SPACE DOES ONE PANEL COVER?

Each panel covers about 0.02 m². To fill 1 m², you’ll need around 50 panels.

WILL YOU SEE GAPS BETWEEN THE PANELS?

They’re barely visible if the cork is pre-acclimated. Let the panels rest in the room before install, and you’re good to go.

HOW SHOULD I CLEAN THE PANELS?

A microfiber cloth or feather duster will do the trick. For stickier spots, go with a gentle cleaner safe for cork.

Avoid harsh stuff—no bleach, acetone, or chlorine-based products. They’ll mess up the finish.

IS CORK A GOOD PICK FOR HIGH-TRAFFIC AREAS LIKE HALLWAYS?

Definitely! Way better than wallpaper (tears easily) or paint (shows scuffs fast). Cork is cozy, more impact-resistant, and holds up beautifully.

CAN I USE THESE PANELS IN SUNNY ROOMS?

We don’t recommend it. Just like wood, cork doesn’t love full-on UV. It can fade with time.

If you’re set on a sunny space, try using shades or install them on a wall that gets less direct sunlight.
