WHY USE A CORK FLOOR VARNISH?

Its main job is to keep your cork looking fresh for the long haul and add durability against daily activity. The varnish forms a protective coating that helps the floor stay in great shape for years to come.

WHERE CAN I USE WS EASYFINISH?

It’s designed for both cork flooring and wood parquet. Thanks to cork’s natural pores, the varnish seeps in and creates a strong shield. It’s perfect for high-traffic spots like kitchens, hallways, and living areas.

Pro tip: only apply on untreated cork. If the floor was pre-finished or already varnished, a new coat won’t bond properly.

WHAT LOOK DOES THE FINISH CREATE?

You’ll get a semi-matte finish that delivers a clean, modern look. Semi-matte hides small scuffs and dust better than glossy coatings, while letting the natural beauty of cork shine through.

CAN I APPLY THE VARNISH MYSELF?

Yes, you can! It’s a ready-to-use, single-component product, so you can apply it right out of the container. No mixing, no measuring, no fuss. Unlike two-part varnishes, this one keeps it simple and beginner-friendly.

HOW SHOULD I PREP MY FLOOR BEFOREHAND?

Make sure the floor is smooth and completely dry. Ideally, moisture should be under 12% for proper adhesion.

Remove any old layers like oil, wax, silicone, or dirt. A cleaner base means a better finish and longer-lasting results.

WHAT’S THE BEST APPLICATION METHOD?

Shake the can well before starting.
If the cork is glued down, check that the adhesive is fully dry first.
Apply three coats. After the first coat, let it dry overnight so moisture can escape and the cork can settle. Before applying the last coat, lightly sand the surface for a smooth finish.

HOW MUCH COVERAGE CAN I EXPECT?

On average, you’ll need about 80–120 ml per 1 m², depending on how porous the floor is and your application method. That’s per coat – so if you’re applying three coats, plan on using more overall.

DO I NEED TO MIX OR DILUTE IT?

Nope – it’s good to go straight from the container and shouldn’t be thinned.

HOW SHOULD I STORE THE PRODUCT?

Keep it at room temperature (or slightly cooler), but always above +41°F (+5°C). Don’t let it freeze, since it’s water-based.
