CAN THE FORBO BULLETIN BOARD BE CUT?
Yes, the board can be easily cut with tools like circular saws, band saws, reciprocating saws, jigsaws, metal saws, or hand saws.
Here are two important tips when cutting:
- Use sharp blades to ensure clean cuts.
- Make sure the material is securely held down to prevent shifting and uneven edges.
If this is your first time cutting this material, test the tool on a small section first.
WHAT ADHESIVE SHOULD I USE FOR INSTALLATION?
Use Wakol D-3540 dispersion adhesive or any standard carpet adhesive.
HOW DO I INSTALL THE FORBO BULLETIN BOARD ON A WALL?
- Prepare the surface – Ensure the wall is clean, smooth, and dry. Repair any damages, fill in any holes, and sand the surface. Clean away dust and any old adhesive residues to ensure a solid bond.
- Acclimate the Forbo material – Lay it flat for 24 hours in a room with a temperature above 20°C before installing. Trim the factory edges and leave a small margin at the bottom for overlap. Mark a starting line on the wall to guide your installation.
- Apply adhesive and position the material – Start from the top and use a roller to press the material into place, ensuring there are no air bubbles and that it adheres securely. Wipe away any excess adhesive immediately with a damp cloth.
- Join the material carefully – Make sure the material aligns properly and leave a 1.2 cm overlap between sheets. Press the overlap down firmly with the roller to ensure it sticks properly.
WHAT DO I DO AFTER INSTALLATION?
Once installed, the bulletin board is ready for use. If you notice any adhesive residue, remove it immediately with a damp cloth. Acting quickly is key since fresh adhesive is much easier to clean.
DO PIN HOLES REMAIN ON THE SURFACE?
No, the pinholes heal naturally. The material “self-repairs” the punctured areas, and the regeneration time depends on how long the pins were in place. The surface does not crack, peel, or crumble.
HOW IS THE FORBO PINBOARD SHIPPED?

HOW DO I CLEAN THE FORBO BOARD?

HOW SHOULD I STORE FORBO?
Store the roll vertically with the "core facing up" to prevent pressure marks. Lay sheets flat, avoiding point pressure. Avoid placing heavy objects on the surface as they could cause permanent indentations.
Keep the material in a dry room, away from moisture and significant temperature changes.
CAN I WRITE ON FORBO WITH A MARKER?
No, the board is not designed for writing. It’s made for pinning notes and information.
