SHOULD I LET THE CORK ROLL REST BEFORE INSTALLING IT?

Yes — cork needs time to adjust to the temperature and humidity in the room. Allow it to acclimate for about 72 hours before installation. This helps it lie flatter and bond more securely.

HOW DO I INSTALL A CORK ROLL ON A WALL?

A high-quality cork adhesive like Wakol D-3540 gives excellent results.

Quick installation steps:

  1. Prep the wall — clean, dry, smooth, and dust-free.
  2. Spread adhesive evenly on both the back of the cork and the wall.
  3. Wait until the glue turns clear, then press the cork firmly into place.
  4. Let it set for 24 hours.

You’ll need roughly 150–250 g/m² of adhesive.

CAN I USE CORK ON UNEVEN WALLS?

Not recommended. For best adhesion and a cleaner finished look, the wall should be as flat as possible. Uneven surfaces may cause the cork to lift or not bond properly.

HOW DO I CLEAN A CORK SURFACE?

Cork is naturally low-maintenance. A soft dry cloth or a slightly damp cloth is usually all you need.
