Yes! Just make sure your wall is clean, dry, and smooth. That’s the key to helping the adhesive stick properly. If your surface isn’t prepped right, the wallpaper might peel or bubble later on.

The Estela cork wallpaper comes in rolls that are 8 meters long, 0.5 meters wide, and 2 mm thick.

HOW MUCH AREA DOES ONE ROLL COVER?

Each roll covers approximately 4 square meters of wall space.

WHAT KIND OF ADHESIVE SHOULD I USE?

We recommend Wakol D-3540 cork adhesive. On average, you’ll need about 150–250 grams of glue per square meter. A 0.8 kg container is enough for roughly one roll (about 4 m²), while 2.5 kg should cover around three rolls. Actual usage can vary depending on how it’s applied.

HOW DO I CUT THE CORK WALLPAPER?

Use a sharp utility knife or box cutter for the cleanest cuts. Lay the wallpaper flat on a hard surface and make smooth, even cuts. Dull blades can tear or fray the cork edges.

DO I NEED TO LET THE CORK ROLL ADJUST BEFORE INSTALLING?

Yes, definitely! Let the roll sit in the room where it will be installed for about 72 hours. This helps it adapt to the temperature and humidity of your space. Skipping this step can cause the wallpaper to expand or shrink afterward.

HOW SHOULD I PREP MY WALL BEFORE INSTALLING?

Before you start, make sure the wall is clean, smooth, and completely dry. Remove any old wallpaper or paint residue and fill any cracks or holes for the best results.

CAN I INSTALL IT ON UNEVEN WALLS?

No, cork wallpaper should only be applied to flat, even walls. Uneven surfaces prevent proper adhesion and may cause visible bumps or peeling over time.

DO I NEED SPECIAL TOOLS FOR INSTALLATION?

No special tools needed! A paint roller, a brush, and a sharp knife will do the job. Installation is simple and mess-free.

WILL THE SEAMS BETWEEN ROLLS BE VISIBLE?

They might be slightly visible, but you can minimize them by aligning each roll carefully and allowing the cork to acclimate before installation. This helps create a seamless, natural look.

DOES CORK WALLPAPER PROVIDE INSULATION OR SOUNDPROOFING?

A 2 mm cork layer helps make the room warmer and quieter, but it’s not designed as a primary insulation material. For more insulation, you can use thicker cork rolls or expanded cork panels.
