Consistent Performance
This compound is developed specifically for handcrafted 3D leather embossing. It reinforces the raised design from the back side, helping the leather maintain its sculpted shape over time.
This product is a great fit if you:
By filling the recessed areas from the flesh side, the compound prevents the design from collapsing or flattening over time.

If you’re only doing flat stamping or working with thin, non-molded leather, you likely won’t need this filler.
The formula combines natural cork, leather fiber dust, and a built-in binder. It’s engineered specifically for molded and 3D-tooled leather applications. The product contains no toluene or MEK, making it safer to handle in the workshop.
Apply the compound to the flesh side of the leather. Follow these basic steps:
Before first use, review the instructions and safety information provided on the label.
For best adhesion, coat the back side of the leather with Renia Gummilösung / Rubber Cement and allow it to dry before applying the filler. The manufacturer recommends this step to create a secure, lasting bond between the leather and the filling material.
No. The filler already contains an integrated binding agent that holds the cork and leather fibers together.
Under normal shop conditions, layers up to about 3/8 inch (approx. 1 cm) dry in roughly 1–2 hours. Thicker applications should be left to cure overnight. Gentle heat can help speed up the drying process.
Do not allow the product to freeze, as this will affect its performance. After each use, seal the container tightly to prevent air exposure.
Store at approximately 68°F (20°C) in a dry, stable environment without temperature fluctuations. When stored properly and sealed correctly, the shelf life is at least 12 months.
Natural cork is lightweight yet structurally supportive, making it ideal for backing raised leather designs. It adds minimal weight while effectively resisting compression and deformation.
Unlike improvised or homemade fillers, this professionally balanced blend of cork, leather fibers, and binder ensures predictable performance and dependable results every time you tool and shape leather.
In leather embossing, depth is what separates ordinary work from premium craftsmanship. When a customer runs their hand over a finished piece and the design feels flat, they may not say anything — but the impression lingers. That’s why professionals turn to Renia 3D Embossing Filler, formulated with natural cork to deliver dimension and definition in leather projects.

Today’s customers expect more than a surface impression. Especially in custom or high-end leather goods, flat embossing simply doesn’t stand out. A cork-based filler helps you achieve clean, well-defined embossed details with noticeable height and structure.
The result is work that immediately captures attention and communicates quality. That extra layer of depth is what keeps your pieces from blending in with the rest of the market.
Leatherworking demands precision. One small technical misstep can undo hours of effort. You need materials that deliver reliable, repeatable results every time. This filler creates a stable 3D effect that supports accurate, predictable embossing.
By minimizing variability, you reduce costly mistakes and streamline your workflow. Stay focused on design and craftsmanship — not on troubleshooting material issues.
Skip the measuring, mixing, and guesswork. This compound comes pre-mixed and ready to apply straight from the container, helping you save time and maintain efficiency in the shop.
No more blending gum arabic with leather dust. No more wondering if the latest batch will perform like the last. Start embossing with confidence, knowing your material will support your standards instead of slowing you down.
