Does your artificial lawn heat up under the sun and feel tough on your feet? Unlike rubber fillers that can trap excessive heat and make turf surfaces uncomfortable, cork infill helps reduce surface temperatures by up to 30%. With new EU restrictions on microplastics, natural cork granules are a sustainable, safe, and user-friendly choice gaining popularity worldwide.

Got questions? We’ve got answers!
WHAT MAKES CORK INFILL A GOOD CHOICE FOR SYNTHETIC TURF?
Cork provides a softer, more stable, and user-friendly surface underfoot. It helps artificial grass stay in place and shields it from moisture and harmful UV rays, extending the turf’s life. Plus, its natural cushioning protects against slips and falls.
IS CORK INFILL COMPATIBLE WITH ALL TYPES OF ARTIFICIAL GRASS?
Absolutely — cork works great on sports fields, residential yards, patios, and decorative turf setups. No matter how tall or short the blades are, cork enhances comfort, resilience, and longevity.
CAN CORK HELP LOWER TURF TEMPERATURES?
Yes, it can. Cork naturally resists heat buildup, unlike rubber. Its low thermal conductivity means it warms up slowly and retains less heat, keeping the field cooler and more comfortable in hot weather.
HOW MUCH CORK INFILL IS NEEDED PER AREA?
One kilogram of cork covers around 2 square meters. For a 20 m² lawn, you’d need roughly 10 kg. It’s easy to estimate and budget based on your project size.
WHAT PACKAGING SIZES DOES CORK INFILL COME IN?
We offer cork granules in a variety of sizes to meet every need — 1 kg, 5 kg, 10 kg, and 20 kg bags for smaller projects. Bulk orders are available on pallets: half pallet (180 kg), full pallet (360 kg), or even double and triple pallets for larger installations (720 kg and 1080 kg).
WHAT’S THE BEST WAY TO INSTALL NATURAL CORK ON TURF?
- First, apply a uniform layer of sand — about 2 to 5 mm deep — over the turf base. This helps create a smooth surface and holds the cork in place.
- Then, spread the cork granules evenly using a rake or similar tool. Be sure to distribute them gradually to avoid uneven spots.
- If you spot any areas with excess or sparse cork, simply smooth it out and level the surface again.
HOW SHOULD EXTRA CORK BE STORED?
Keep unused cork in a dry, cool spot out of direct sunlight. Seal it in bags or containers to keep moisture and dirt out and maintain product quality.
CAN CORK INFILL BE COMBINED WITH OTHER MATERIALS?
It’s not recommended. Cork works best on its own — adding other infill materials might interfere with performance and reduce safety and comfort.
IS CORK INFILL FLAMMABLE?
Nope. Cork has a high ignition threshold and burns much slower than rubber. If exposed to fire, it doesn’t release harmful fumes, which makes it a safer pick for public and private spaces alike.
HOW LONG DOES CORK INFILL LAST?
Cork requires very little maintenance. Occasional checks and top-ups are all that’s needed. Full replacement typically isn’t necessary for 5 to 10 years, depending on usage.
IS THE PRODUCT CERTIFIED FOR HEALTH AND SAFETY?
Yes, it’s officially certified by Poland’s National Institute of Public Health (PZH). That means it’s skin-safe, non-toxic, and doesn’t trigger allergies or irritation. We’re currently the only Polish company offering cork infill with this level of certification.
DOES THIS CORK INFILL MEET EU ENVIRONMENTAL GUIDELINES?
Yes, our cork granules are completely natural and contain zero microplastics. They meet all current EU environmental standards, including bans on plastic infill for sports fields.
WILL THE CORK MOVE OUT OF PLACE DURING USE?
No, as long as the base is prepped correctly — with sand for stabilization — the cork stays in place. It binds naturally to turf fibers and resists shifting, even with active use.
Cork granules offer a smart and eco-conscious way to elevate your turf field’s performance — making the playing experience more comfortable, safer, and more enjoyable. They soften impact, lower the risk of slipping, and don’t heat up as fast as rubber infill. Best of all? They’re 100% natural and environmentally friendly.

#1 STAYS PUT, EVEN IN WIND
Cork infill for artificial turf is dense enough (180–200 kg/m³) to stay firmly in place. It won’t blow away or shift easily, holding tight between turf fibers and keeping your field looking polished and tidy.
Its fine grain size (1–2 mm) allows the cork to spread evenly across the turf and resist clumping — ideal for maintaining a consistent, playable surface.
#2 COMFORT AND SAFETY BUILT-IN
Natural cork gives players of all ages a smooth, cushioned playing surface. With excellent shock absorption, it reduces impact from falls while improving traction — a key benefit when playing on synthetic fields.
As synthetic rubber and plastic infills face increasing restrictions across the EU, cork stands out as a proven, eco-certified natural option. It’s one of the few infills fully aligned with today’s environmental standards — without compromising on performance.
#3 WHY CORK OUTPERFORMS RUBBER
Rubber infill has long been a go-to choice for turf systems, but it comes with drawbacks. Rubber heats up fast under the sun, increasing the risk of burns. It also releases unpleasant odors and can emit toxic chemicals. And when temperatures drop, rubber hardens — which can lead to more injuries.
Cork offers a safer, cleaner alternative. It helps maintain a lower surface temperature, even during heatwaves, and it’s biodegradable, reducing environmental harm and helping cut down carbon emissions. A smart choice for player wellness and sustainability.
#4 A FIELD THAT LOOKS, FEELS & SOUNDS BETTER
Cork blends naturally with synthetic turf, giving your field a more realistic, soil-like appearance. It preserves the field’s structure, prevents fiber displacement, and keeps it looking professionally maintained over time.
It also helps reduce turf surface heat by up to 30% — especially valuable in hot climates. Plus, cork is excellent at muffling sound, making games quieter and more enjoyable for both players and spectators.
