WHAT SURFACES DOES DRAGON ADHESIVE WORK ON?
Dragon is formulated for cork and wood, but it also adheres well to stone, particle board, fiberboard, composite panels, and mineral-based surfaces such as concrete, cement-lime plaster, or drywall. Suitable for both indoor and outdoor projects.
Keep in mind:
- At least one surface should be porous for best adhesion.
- Always test on a small area first to ensure compatibility.
- Not recommended for polystyrene, flexible or foamed PVC, or plastics such as PP, PE, or PTFE.
DO I NEED TO DILUTE THIS ADHESIVE?
Nope – it’s ready to go straight from the container. The thick, paste-like consistency means no prep work required.
WHAT COLOR IS DRAGON CORK ADHESIVE?
It’s a light brown shade. Once cured, the joint keeps the same tone and blends naturally with both cork and wood.
WHAT’S THE OPEN TIME?
You’ll have about 20 minutes of open time, which allows you to adjust and position materials before it sets.
Initial grab happens in roughly 6 hours. After 24 hours, the adhesive is fully cured and at maximum strength.
HOW MUCH COVERAGE CAN I EXPECT?
Coverage ranges from 0.9 to 2.2 sq. ft. per liter, depending on how absorbent the surface is and how thickly the product is applied.
HOW SHOULD I PREP THE SURFACE?
Make sure the surface is clean, even, and dry. Remove dust, grease, old finishes, and debris, then degrease the area before applying adhesive.
HOW DO I APPLY DRAGON ADHESIVE?
Apply directly from the cartridge using the provided applicator nozzle.
Step-by-step:
- Cut off the cartridge tip and attach the nozzle.
- Apply in dabs or strips.
- Add a little extra in corners and edges for extra strength.
- Press pieces together briefly, pull apart, and let air for about 10 minutes.
- Re-press firmly (a rubber mallet can help).
- For heavy or stressed items, secure until fully set.
After 24 hours, the bond reaches full durability. Keep the area ventilated during and after use until any odor disappears.
HOW SHOULD I STORE IT?
Store in the original sealed packaging between 32°F and 86°F (0°C to +30°C). If frozen, the adhesive permanently loses effectiveness. When properly stored, it maintains performance for up to two years from the production date.
